admin In January, I entered my completed novel in Amazon.com’s Breakthrough Novel Award competition. In February, I made the first cut. This was based solely on my pitch (which is doubling as my query letter). In March, I found out I am a Quarter Finalist, based on a 5000 word excerpt. Top 5%, people! Now Publisher’s Weekly editors are reading the entire manuscript. When they are done, I will receive a (hopefully) nice review and a score that will determine if I move to the next round or not.
